KS2 Technologies was incorporated in 2001, but the genesis of the company began in 1992. It was then that Dan Shinedling Sr. began DSI, a reseller of IBM hardware. KS2 began to take form as Dan’s son, Dan Jr., came aboard and finally, Eric Kuefler.
The resulting company brought together the unique expertise of three passionate individuals united in a common goal to make IT work smarter. Today, Eric Kuefler, Dan Shinedling Sr., Dan Shinedling Jr. and their associates have made this their mission: IT sales and solutions that consistently deliver positive, measurable business results.

Dan Shinedling Sr.
Dan brings years of IT wisdom and entrepreneurial insight to KS2. After 27 years with IBM in a variety of roles, Dan took advantage of the IBM early retirement program to start DSI Consulting, a hardware-centric venture. It wasn’t long until DSI Consulting evolved into what KS2 Technologies is today. He helped form KS2 in May of 2002 along with his son, Dan Jr. and their partner Eric Kuefler. With the addition of Mr. Kuefler to the staff and the change in direction from a strictly hardware reseller to a full service provider, it was decided that DSI Consulting would also change its name to KS2 Technologies, Kuefler and the two Shinedlings. Dan now concentrates on the hardware/infrastructure reseller program as an integral part of the overall business. In addition he works with the various business partners that KS2 has relationships with and interfaces with IBM.
Dan Shinedling Jr.
A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Dan Jr. possesses a keen entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for making IT soar. Dan began his professional career in 1992 as a developer and integration consultant. Looking to build something new, Dan joined his dad at DSI in 1995 and launched what would become KS2’s professional services practice. Since that time the practice has served both the IBM and JD Edwards communities, automated and integrated business processes for customers across a host of industries, and now offers Managed Services to maintain stability and continuous improvement of IBM and Oracle/JDE systems and software.
Today, Dan continues to focus on ways to make IT work better for business and to enable KS2’s personnel and its clients to be successful.
Eric is a born entrepreneur. He brings to the team an unswerving intensity and a proven sales and professional services track record. A graduate of Florida State University, Eric holds dual degrees in Accounting and Finance. He began his career at Motorola and was part of a global implementation team that implemented Oracle applications in Singapore, Ft. Worth, Germany and the United Kingdom. After a successful launch at Motorola, Eric started an independent company focused on Oracle JDE consulting and solutions. This company was later merged into KS2 and helped form the JDE Practice that is soaring today.
With Eric, good is not good enough. Reaching for excellence is his mantra. As an IT and Finance professional, he understands the importance of each project’s business value and its impact to the customers’ bottom line.
